Examples of Custom Trainings
The examples below provide a starting point for thinking about how Making Sense of SCIENCE can customize a training to fit your needs.
Get a taste of the content from one of our full, 5-day courses by working with us to design an experience for teachers on a subset of topics covered in the full course.
If a single-concept course doesn't fulfill your district's needs, we can create a course that spans multiple concepts of earth, life, and physical science.
If you've already experienced one of our Making Sense of SCIENCE courses, we can work with you to create additional sessions on a related concept to expand teachers' learning.
ALTERNATE LITERACY OR TEACHING STRANDS
Each Making Sense of SCIENCE course is designed with a literacy strand — either reading, writing, or discourse — and a grade-band specific teaching strand. We can work with you to create an alternate literacy strand and can customize our teaching strand to target a different grade band.
